OEM is 4300K - usually colour shift to ~ 4600K

Xenon bulbs colour shift over time - similar to how halogen bulbs lose brightness/lumens over time

Philips make 2 types of OEM bulbs - hence why VW quoted for two different types of bulbs

one type is when replacing in pairs - so you replace both bulbs, and over time, both bulbs will colour shift to the warmer white at the same rate

the other type is a 'CM' or colour shifted type which is already a slightly warmer type - note that it will never be an exact match! this is used when replacing a single bulb, but only recommended when your certain the other type is also a philips and has a reasonable number of hours on it - over time its shocking the number of lumens you lose!

THERE IS NO ROAD LEGAL 6000K XENON BULB!!!!

The absolute and ONLY 5000K - so BRIGHTEST 5000K bulb you can fit which is E marked and road legal in the EU/UK is the Osram 66240 Cool Blue Intense rated at 5000K and 3200 lumens

Sending you a PM now Johnny
