Brick lane curry
« on: July 08, 2012, 12:41:54 pm »
Afternoon all! The Mrs and I are going to Brick Lane (London) for a curry later. Can anyone recommend a decent curry house? I've never been and there's so much choice!
Cheers, Ash

Lived in London for a couple of years but only managed brick lane once with the other half. We went to Cafe Bangla which was decent if my memory serves me well - but it was around 2008!

The mural of Princess Di was a bit weird though! Tons of choice on the lane - sure there are others with more experience than I!

Go to maida. On Bethnal green road near Brick lane. AMAZING food!

Try the kebabs, butter chicken and you gotta have one of their cocktails (non alcoholic)

You're not wrong. It's easy when you live in the North West to take it for granted, but the curry from Bradford and Huddersfield is amazing. Balooshai Central is my personal favourite.

Try and get yourself down to Tooting Broadway. A lot less touristy, cheaper and tastier  :happy2:
