Shed Alarms

Does anyone use an alarm on their shed or garage that isnt connected to the house system?

IF so which system do you use?

Yes Rich I have a Response one with a remote activation.

Poor reviews though but mine works ok.

Yale did a nice one but I believe they are discontinued now.

You can add to it just by touching them together I believe.

The theiving scummers would probably just rip it off the wall but its just a deterrent.

On the dog topic, a dog's behaviour is more often than not greatly influenced by it's owner. I know several folk who have Staffy or similar and they look fierce but are as gentle as lambs - At least they are with me.

Perhaps this scares them into submission!:



Back on the subject of shed alarms......   You could hire me to scare people away.

Or paint this image on your garage or shed door.

Well.... its a deterrent. Its 100x more substantial than the yale lock thats on there already, so it it stops someone yanking the door open (ive done it before) then its worked.  Smashing windows is a noisy business....

Hi rich, I have a powermax wireless alarm, all batteries are lithium and the main panel is mains power. I have them in the house, garage and shed and its been in 4 years and is faultless!  It rings my mobile if it goes off and I can monitor on cctv to see whats going on. It isnt that expensive to be fair and you can add sensors.
