3 door seats into a 5 door

I know its probably not ideal - but is this legal? MOT etc? fiitting 3 door tilting seats into a 5 door?

What would make it illegal? It's just the same tilting seat.

Going the other way (5dr into 3dr) would deem your back bench unusable.

5 door seats into a 3door isnt illegal either, Well it wasn't a few years back when i had them fitted!

This is my question - I would say 5 doors into a 3 door is NO NO and an MOT failure, simly because you can not get in/out of the back safely. 3 door in to a 5 dooor however I can't see there being a problem - but MOT laws are changing.
