i think it depends on which Central Electrics Control Module (CECM - otherwise called "central electrics board") you have

If its on your convenience module (I think this feature is found on most of the modules) then its a very quick job to enable

available on most, easy to enable

Eddie-NL set it up on mine, has activated a couple of times under harsh braking, good thing to have!

you can get flashing brake lights, but only on higher end CECMs

i really want to do this mod, but i can't find the right CECM for my car and they're about £250 from a dealer (for my Audi A3 anyway)

should be on yours Robin, get someone with Vag-com to have a look
only the very early cars 2004 and very early 2005 didn't have the option
