Thoughts on this colour please is it LASER BLUE ?

Thank you for the info might just have to put in the miles and go see it a nice trip to Norfolk.

I like it as it's a bit differant to the norm Black, Red etc.

Looking at the ad on AutoTrader its a very similar spec to mine visually. Things like the 18" Monzas, xenons, mudflaps, tints etc. say to me it was ordered by someone who wasn't too worried about the list price - or was a dealer demo! The mileage/FVWSH is a plus too - not because the dealers are great (as many on here have found out differently!) - but because it looks as if its been taken care of. Pretty much the price I got mine for too, and I had to travel from Exeter to Bury St. Edmonds.

I'm quite obviously biased but laser blue is a stunning and rare colour which changes according to the light. I've only seen one other since I bought mine.

Main ones was laser blue dropped, blue tint glass became green, aerial on the roof instead of in the rear window, fog lights changed from projector to halogen, the rear badge changed to a 3d version (think that might have come later).. There are more but that's all I can think of atm

They brought out shadow blue (the superior colour) after 2006 then?

Hi Graham, you probably  won't like this, but,having had both colours, and time to get used to my Laser Blue, I'm giving it to Laser blue on a points decision! It's incredibly close, both colours are fantastic, but the Laser pips it by a nose as it looks better in dull weather than Shadow blue, and dull weather is pretty frequent in the UK!

However, when the sun is out, they both look equally stunning! I love both, as you know. Only my opinion, but I guess I'm probably unique in having owned both colours on a standard K03 GTi.

Tbh I haven't seen a Laser blue in the sunlight (only seen Nathan (nodz's) in cloudy weather).

Superior, lol, probably cheaper to produce, you know what the VW bean counters are like   

As Ian said they are both good colours and completely agree that on dull days laser can look like shadow (climair pics in my build thread) its just I prefer blues that are similar to Laser rather than the darker blues.

I'll be there as usual Graeme, should have all my plans for her exterior and interior done by then leaving for under the bonnet as the winter/new year task.

Back on topic I've just found it on Autotrader and if its the one that says its been dropped by £1k its definitely laser blue. I don't see many advertised as a GTI L either which iirc means its full leather interior. If I was looking now I would be very interested in that car especially as it has got xenons as not many early cars have, the only downside for me is that it has got a roof aerial and I prefer a manual 'box
