Hello all,

I've recently upgraded from a MK4 1.8T to a MK5 Gt 140, enjoying the car a lot and already upgraded the stereo to an RCD510 with retro-fit Bluetooth module courtesy of Olsen. Currently considering lots of different mods and upgrades such as a highline dashboard cluster, new alloys and a remap, but first I'm buying replacement parts and arranging paint correction to get back to factory standard.

I'm normally on uk-mkivs but branching out a bit and using these forums for inspiration and advice on future mods. Would be good to hear about anyone local or doing similar with their mk5.

Sounds like you're off to a great start and that you know what you're doing!!!

I'm over in Lincoln, so not that far really   :wink:


I might have a few bits and pieces that would go on the gt tdi When you're ready  :innocent:

Thanks for the welcome, I work in Nottingham but live in Newark, so close to Lincoln and Mansfield as well.
I've been meaning to take some photo's, I'll do a post fairly soon.

Only taken a couple as I've been driving a lot in the last couple of days so it needs a good clean


One of the interior - Anthracite and grey with retro-fitted RCD510 and BT module by Olsen-72.


Just changed the steering wheel inserts for new ones and ordered some new grab handles.
Can't decide whether to have the engine remapped or buy some new wheels next...
