Satnav Headunit
« on: August 06, 2012, 09:56:58 pm »
Im looking to change my standard cd player headunit for a Satnav headunit, for a number of reasons but mainly the satnav and need for bluetooth phone connection and I just wondered which would be the one to go for?
The Genuine VW RNS-510 or An aftermarket unit from one of the big main players...alpine,kenwood etc..
Any Ideas or advice?
Thanks

Rns 510. Keep it original. Can connect Bluetooth to it. Watch DVDs. Built in hard drive.

Best choice I made when looking for satnav

Have a good look though here, loads of advice and ideas. If you ask "what's best?", all we are going to do is tell you which Unit we all have.

I would reccomend you contact Nick on r32oc.com

Good rep on the site, he supplied and fitted my RNS510 plus modded firmware so I didn't get battery drain I have a 56 plate.

His for sale thread :

I can also recommend Nick as he supplied mine and can get any revision as per his thread. I had mine fitted by Eddie NL on here and he can supply newer units and fit.

Both are very good to deal with :happy2:
