New, possibly buying Pirelli
« on: June 03, 2009, 08:39:14 pm »
Hi,

been lurking for a while and thought I would introduce myself. Been looking for a Ed 30 or a Pirelli for a couple of months but found nothing suitable. Ordered a Focus RS in March but have been messed about with dates etc. Happened upon a new Pirelli yesterday, a good selection of extras and put an offer in. If they take it Iwill bin the RS and add my own "extras" to the Pirelli.
Quality site.

Cheers.

Paddy

Thanks for the welcomes.
Definately love the ED 30 and the Pirelli but very hard to get the exact spec and price. The Pirelli I found is 3 door, Silver, DSG, reversing sensors, cruise control, sat nav, MFSW, luxury pack and highline. I'm sure some are not extras but I am more than happy. I thought I saw it had  uprated lights but when I rang to confirm they said it had not.

Cheers.

Hi Paddy and welcome,

I'm a newbie on here as well. Was just wondering if you managed to haggle the steelers down at all?
I'm in the same boat as you and looking to buy from them but could only manage £300 off the asking price. :surprised:
So I left there very dissapointed and carless :angry015:

Hope you're having more success.....

If you have a deposit down on the RS i'd look at selling you order on, there are some people on pistonheads that will take over your order. Some cars seem to be selling for 30k + at the minute so it might be worth considering.

Pirelli was up for £23,000, £2000 off for scrappage and I offered £20,000. They wanted £21,000 but came down to £20,500. I stuck to my guns and said I couldn't pay more than £20,000  for an out of date car. He said he would speak to his manager and let me know either way. If he rings tomorrow I'll have it if not I won't. As for the RS that sounds like a really good plan, I never thought of that. I did get about £3000 off it as well so could be a deal to be had.
Cheers .

theres an un registered pirelli on the autotrader, its silver not sure on the spec but its £20500 if its new you might get the trade in allowance too.
