ill speak to my chaps see if it can be added to the map.. last i heard revo hasnt got a file.. are your mapped in? ive seen a few running them not tuned for them and they work just need to wait for the car to warm up

They have got as far as removing the codes from my file, but not sorted the running.  Would need to take the car over to them to get the rest of the file sorted. Map is being changed soon anyway so didn't want to waste their time.

Was this an event at Awesome or is there a thread on another website??

Great results Mr Hurdy!! Big gains from 3.5k onwards and a lovely smooth graph.

I had an old APR Stage 3 car which although not as powerful had a lovely delivery....miss it now.

Is your's a custom map??

I'm a quandry whether to sell the Eddy and buy a new R or S3 and play with that....I assume when they release a map ( seem a bit slow on getting this done at mo....thought Revo or APR would have done this by now).

I suspect 350+ should be available with ease.......asw you say the dilema of 300+ with FWD even with a diff isn't like a good 4WD set up. Are you tracking your R? Do you get much understeer cornering? Can you deploy full chat cornering or does ESP kick in ?

I know Haldex is very different to an Evo with it's system but I always felt the Evo was quite a sophisticated set whereas VAG was a predominantly FWD and diverting power when it detected slip. How do you find it copes with these levels of  ooomph!!

Pearl Black Edition 30 3 Door. DSG. (3rd Edition 30)
Maybe on the too do list: APR Stage 2+, KW Clubsports, Brakes, Diff.

how does your car run without them alex? seem to be a few on revo who are running them deleted without being mapped to suit

Msportsman,

This was an RR day at Awesome through SeatCupra.net. They have a thread on their site in the regional NW section.

Mine is a BT map straight out of GIAC's catalogue. It is fine tuned with the boost through the E-Boost controller and no longer has an N75 running the show.

I have been reading about the new S3 and R's and as of yet they don't have anything due out soon for getting past the ECU protection apart from tuning boxes, which I strongly advise against. I'd wait at least another year or two before taking the plunge with one.
I have tracked the R a few times ( besides the 1/4 mile runs). It is very neutral to near the limit and then it will tend towards understeer. ESP does kick in if you push too hard in sharp corners. 2012 onwards R's can have their ESP turned off fully though.
The R copes very well with the Haldex. I have a HPA race Haldex and it is excellent although I would have bought the competition Haldex if I'd known it keeps the prop shaft drive connected to the rear under braking and acts more like a permanent 4WD system.

Overall the car is very capable and once the brake kit goes on it should be even more so.  :happy2:

It  is just an additional cooling mechanism and isn't mapped in. I'm running a DO4 into the throttle pipe.  :happy2:

It is definitely not a necessity, but I suspect it is the reason mine runs smoothly under boost. It feels almost OEM++. :happy2:

I asked Awesome GTI to post me over a graph with the clutch torque on, rather than at the wheels. Here it is.  :happy2:
