Are MRC sure they have the right tools for the newer DSG? JBS could do it lol they have the tools.

In the TTRS world the two fave tuners atm are MRC and APR. APR say the DSG can be manipulated up to a point via the ecu without mapping the DSG itself.

But yeah if MRC can do it they can also map your lo4xx

I need to have a deeper, more meaningful discussion with them.

Wow, have not been on the forum for almost 2 week. I did know Hurdy was trading the polo for a Golf R,
But heck, 17 page bold thread and the car only gets delivered/mention on page 16.

Will be very interest what comes of this R. Especially if you look at the ED30 or Polo GTI.

Very good score on the R btw. Great color and spec too,

I would have thought if you've got a VCDS scan they should be able to tell you from the HW/SW version of the box.

.
I was at Wiscombe Hillclimb today and got chatting with a couple of competitors (brothers) who both have aftermarket supercharged V8 S5's, straight-through decat'd 3" titanium exhaust systems and MRC tuned. Oh, and both with flappy paddle gear boxes. Awesome sounds! I mention it because I had never heard of MRC before - They spoke very well of the remap.

Engine remap or DSG remap or both?

Hes really underwhelmed by it and was asking me for advice on Apr or other options. He may end up going lo4xx with Steve

An acquaintance has an rs4 and he was going to go with MRC but after a rolling road he felt that there customer service was pants and a little impersonal.

They are a big company.

I like a little one on one dicussion with companies about what I am buying.

Just my tuppence.

Thinking out of the box can the dsg ecu be changed to an earlier s3 type?

What about Jabbasport?  they custom map so could be a good option.  Pretty far south from you though.

You any closer to a decision.  I thought you would have been a guaranteed REVO customer tbh
