Not good but could have been worse

My bro-in-law brought a brand new t5 2 weeks ago and it's been hit all down 1 side and then a few days later the front has been hit.. Both made a run for it

Well done for recording it on your phone, I wouldn't have even thought of that.m
You hear horror stories where people have time to think and then deny they reversed into you.

Another reason to get a dash cam fitted, mine was pennies and does the job.

I've thought about a dash am a few times and this may just edge it for me.

Anyway, the good news is that they have agreed to pay up, so by the end of the week it should be back to normal.

Well the R went in for a spruce up and feels all the better for it.

New cambelt and water pump
New sparkplugs
DSG oil and filter change
Engine oil and filter change
Haldex oil change
Engine bay tidy up - moving pipework, extra shielding for wiring etc.
New, improved heat shield
One other thing to do was to take the turbo off and have the housing exit section welded. This was due to the lip on the housing being almost non-existent and kept popping off under peak boost when running over 30psi. Job done and fitted with new high pressure clamps and that pipe should now be a permanent fixture at whatever boost I run.
Finally a good clean up to make her all shiny again.
I must say that I absolutely love this car and it is soooooo quick yet so tractable it beggars belief. Everyone should have a 4WD, 500bhp daily.  :happy2:
