Should have kept the ed30 and 4wd that would have saved you loads as these mods went on your ed30 would have been an animal now that car

You're probably right Mat.

However, I'm probably kicking myself more about not going for a new Golf R instead of the Polo GTI (although any modding is good )

Car looks excellent, right color and wheels. I run BSH mounts, they are very sore inside the cabin.

Stevie.  :happy2:

Cheers Stevie, I've had quite a few compliments from people who have seen the car in the flesh who have made similar comments, especially about the gloss black and grey theme. :happy2:

Looking good john. Go for the top mounts pal, 2 reasons  1 they are a lot better no engine movement which in turn improves traction, 2 if you dont, trust me the top 2 mounts will go on you being a weaker link to the stiffer mounts. :happy2:

I'm definitely doing the top mounts Shaun, I just need to decide whether to do BSH, THS or VF mounts.

The car sits a little lower now.

Looking sweet mate!!!  :happy2:

Cheers Justin. Had a play on the way home and the car definitely is more planted and definitely feels like it is harder to break traction. The car feels taughter, more agile and has a lot less comedy body roll now too.

A few comparisons and pics of the day.....

Stock v's H&R ARB diameter - no weight saving here as they are solid

Stock v's Whiteline front droplinks - the droplinks are stiffer & lighter

The kit chosen was due to recommendations and good reviews on here and other forums....Cheers guys  :happy2:

Surprisingly all the Powerflex bushes were MK5 parts. Part numbers below....

Hmmm, possibly a touch lower at the front maybe?

The coilovers still have to settle and have about another inch lowering available both front and rear.

Golf R gone.

Disagree.  Front is perfect, it needs raising at the back imo, but i dont like slammed cars, so ignore me

Vibratechnics?  I swapped my full set of THS mounts for them and they are a massive improvement.  Poly mounts are rock hard in winter and soft in summer.

Cheers for that Alex, I'll have a look at those too.
