You any closer to a decision.  I thought you would have been a guaranteed REVO customer tbh

....Isn't this more about when or if Revo decide to invest time and resources into this? It has to be worthwhile commercially for them and also perhaps their new business partner relationships may have an influence. I'm guessing but.......

Earlier in this thread, John asked about MRC and I responded by posting about a couple of highly modified Audi S5's I 'met' yesterday. Then a couple of you suggested MRC were no good. The S5 drivers would obviously disagree with you, so on what basis do you think MRC are "poo" and "underwhelming"? They may well be but it might be more helpful for folks to know why.

Wonderful to have a slight gander over this yesterday.

Quite simply sounds mental from what you've got planned with the thing!
If you have to ask why, you'll never understand.

What about Jabbasport?  they custom map so could be a good option.  Pretty far south from you though.

....I always get mixed up between Jabbasport and JBS. One of them has a very bad reputation according to lots of posts on this forum.

Surely it makes best sense for John Hurdy to go with a remap that Statller work with as he is close friends with Statller and trusts them. Also, they happen to be only a few miles away.

Believe me I'd definitely be going Revo if they did both engine and DSG maps. I'd definitely be going APR if they did both engine and DSG maps. I'd definitely be going GIAC if they did both engine and DSG maps. all of these have shown good customer support in the past and all would be able to support a tune for a Loba LO4XX upgrade.

MRC, JBS ( Custom- Code ), AMD, and maybe a few others I'd be wary of for different reasons.
Golf R gone.

I've been at work and the car is horrendously dirty and has two centre caps missing due to having two new wheels and tyres before delivery. These should be with me on Monday.

Debating whether or not to pop over to Nathan and DMR and have it given the once over too.

That's one thing you shouldn't need to think about John.

....Isn't that because of much more difficult encryption by VW of the Golf R's ECU? And is it a common enough car to make it commercially worthwhile?

Why not? The first tuner to offer one will cash in big time, especially when the R becomes a tad cheaper to buy.
