Sounds awesome mate. Even quicker than when you took me out then? Must be like a rocket now  :driver:

The launch is so much better; cleaner, sharper and more aggressive . The 1/4 mile terminal speeds are a little better, but the times are easily better than before.

Better than before  :notworthy:

Was a hoot going sideways through a wet industrial estate  :driver:

Have ou not fitted your WMI kit yet John?

I reckon its the LO4xx next.

You still using the GIAC software?  What happened to REVOs development, i remember seeing a FB update about their Golf R having an LO4xx turbo.

Not yet Sy. Steve is a man down with 5 Porsche turbos to work on!

I'm not in a rush to do these things as the car WILL be with me for a long time yet. :happy2:

Yes I'm still using GIAC software and will be for the foreseeable future as they also supply good solutions for WMI and the Loba L04XX.

I'll have to look at Revo's Facebook page as I didn't know they had a Golf R L04XX.

Golf R gone.

Quick Q. Where do you buy your methanol? Also do you use tap or bottled water

I bought mine through Statllers, but from memory I think it is Westfield wholesale chemicals. You need a fairly big order for delivery though as they sell it by the pallet load!

I use filtered tap water as here in Sheffield we don't have any issues at all with limescale. If you live in an area like mine then you should be okay doing this as long as the methanol mix is used and not stored too long. Distilled water lasts longer as a mix, but even then there are limits.

Cant remember who told me, but allegedly its an LO4xx.  Not 100% on it though.

Been a 4xx on that R for around 3 or more months now.  No one at Revo wants to comment on the progress.

All the topics on the 4xx seem to have dried up now.

Alex has a hybridized K04 turbo, not the LOBA offering.  He was after it back along but from what i gather couldnt get answers regarding the EGT questions, plus i think it was pretty expensive as well.

Isn't that all the Loba offering is a hybrid K04?
