I have non-res Milltek cat-back and its not intrusive at all, a lot quieter than the equivalent system for the Leon Cupra!

We'll see how much louder it is with the pre-cat removed  :happy2:

I bought the Milltek R32 style rear box and you're right it cost a fortune but i'm very happy with it!

Sanj I have heard and seen some pics of the Miltek back box sticking out below the bumper. Do you have any pics from lower down directly behing the car? Can you see the back box sticking out?

Although I have also read that Miltek reduced the size of the back box recently. Anyone know if this is true?

Hello, yes the back box doe's stick out a a fair bit and you can clearly see the back box when looking in line with it,but what did it for me was the tip's were the latest jet style and were bigger than a normal R32 and I had a milltek exhaust on already so I needed only the rear silencer,I prefer it this way but you're right with regard's to the back box being quite low,i'll see if I can take a pic later, you'd be better to get one made from a good exhaust place to suit your need's and it would be half the price, mine was £450 just for the R32 style back box from awesome GTI,that was with a discount and a wait of 2 month's! :surprised:

^^^ Ok so that moves the Milltek's down the list for me. Although do really love the tail pipes :happy2:

Anyone recommend a place to get a custom exhaust? I'm based in NW London.

BCS is a bit far from me but could be an option.

StephenED30 how does your compare to the stock exhaust in terms of sound? I’m looking for something that is a bit louder than stock but not too much.

I am looking at doing the same thing. Not sure that I would want to see the pipes sticking past that far.
The red edition 30 exhaust fit looks spot on.

Out of interest how much is the cat back on that?

I have been quoted in the region of £600.00 for the milltec

Did a review on it here,

http://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/index.php/topic,35697.0.html

I’m more than happy with the sound it makes as mine was the first one that BCS did. It is slightly louder than stock but you can hardly tell any different on the motorway. As for price its best to contact Nigel or Dave at

I’m sure they will help you out.  :happy2:
