Boot handle - help please
« on: August 17, 2012, 08:50:18 am »
Folks

i need a new boot handle/badge due to a lot of white worming. Seems though that ebay isnt coming down with these for a Mk5 Golf.

Can i search for one for an Eos or Jetta or Mk6 Golf - are they the same?

cheers

i think some eos and jetta ones are the same.

when mine was due to be replaced i went for a 2 part badge like the ones on the 06 and 56 plate on badges as my brother was getting a MK6 Golf one.

we got ours from the dealers tho (trade discount)

Only handles from a MK5 and MK6 will fit.

The Jetta is a saloon and as such has a handle/button on the underside next to the no plate lights. Can't see the EOS fitting either!

Looks like a good buy as long as you keep it quiet....................ooopppss  :ashamed:

Mine cost the same, double that from the dealers.  The mk6 is a bit of a VW cost cutting excercise as its all plastic with no spring return, it also sticks out a little bit more.  IMO it looks fine though.

Apologies Suave should have stated "Damped spring return".  both unit are spring return the MK5 is a damped version.  :happy2:
