Reading fault codes
« on: August 20, 2012, 11:26:28 pm »
Hi guys. Picked up my DSG ED30 yesterday and enjoyed every last minute of the 5 hour journey back home. However, today the engine management light came on randomly. I have a mate who has lent me an OBDII code reader but i don't know the correct process for reading the codes. I know it's a simple question and I have searched for a while but how do I do it? Ignition on? Engine on? Any help would be much appreciated... I'm itching to use it but I daren't right now      :scared:

Thanks.

Find a member near to you with a vcds cable and go from there.
