I really don't know, so many ideas have been getting thrown around that i'm just lost.  Can't keep up this trial and error stuff though.

Just to add, it has been doing it when putting my foot down sometimes or if I go round a corner quite hard. But mostly when i stop start in traffic, it leaves a BIG cloud behind me, also noticed it if i am going down hill in gear but not accelerating.  Not sure if any of that helps diagnose at all.

Sounds like valves stem seals possibly to me... ? But then like as you say i'm guessing and giving yet another possibilty, hopefully the garage will pin point and sort, maybe upgrade the garage to one which has helped other members sort their issues like this...

Anyway hope you get it sorted mate...

UPDATE 3

The turbo was examined and the blades had some marks on them, they think that there may had been some debris left in the intercooler when the last turbo was changed.  So It's a new Turbo, intercooler and while the front end is off the started motor is being replaced as it's a bit hit and miss, I think I will be lucky to have change out of £3000 after all this.  Oh well, what ya gonna do ah!!

Why would debris get from the intercooler to the turbo? Thought it blows one way?

But hope you get it sorted buddy...

Not sure, my mechanic heard that it's best to change the intercooler when you change the turbo, this wasn't done before.  I don't know much about all that.

I also get smoke when pulling off (havent read all this thread)

My oil usage is rediculous, it has gone from half the dip stick to almost minimum on 268 miles, normal?!?! My garage is looking at it all tomorrow so I'll let you know what they come back with I am going to ask them to check every nook and cranny...

I was leaving massive clouds of smoke by the end of it, hopefully yours is a simple thing, but have a read through the thread, see if you think it's the same.  For your sake, i hope not.

Thanks mate, just read through it... I feel for you, that's a lot of wonga you have to part with... Will find out tomorrow, have not noticed any loss of power just smoke when pulling away from traffic (much more visable at night) oil consumption is horrendous and smoke coming out the back when started from cold...

Hope your problem is sorted too, seems like it has been a long and fustrating battle...

had the same issues with mine last year--also check the breather on the rocker cover isn't blocked as it will chuck out the oil through the turbo

My mechanic thought this could be an issue.

I had a lot of oil everywhere, the fuel was black, but since the initial work was done with the injector seals there doesn't seem to be any oil in the fuel as he checked it when it first went back.  It's possible I had two problems.

mine never had oil in the fuel--think it was down to the breather been blocked and causing 5 turbos to go :signLOL:

Is it a case of just cleaning it out or do you need to replace the breather?  any idea on cost?

Sorry to hear about your issues, but not sure if this would help cut some of the costs whilst giving an upgrade. ;)

Clicky

Could drop it at AMD as well.
