fuel cap switch removal
« on: September 06, 2012, 07:52:44 am »
Hi guys just me picking your brains again, I bought a set of chrome switches to brighten up the interior, my question is I need to remove the plastic trim that holds the fuel cap cover on the drivers door.
The trim  cover lifts from the front but seem to be attahed at the rear unless I'm not using enough force , didn't want to break it, I'm sure enough people on the forum have done this mod.
Thanks in advance

Mate that bit is fixed in the door card,  undo the 3 screws at the bottom on the door card and the 2 in the handle area behind the window switch, pull the bottom of the door card out ,remember it still has 5 clips in it and you can get to the switch from inside that's how it comes out....or just remove the whole card which is just as easy in.my opinion remembering a screw in the mirror area if your using this method.
Loads of extra's and retro fits.
