Torque specs?
« on: September 06, 2012, 10:52:28 am »
I'm trying to find the torque specs for the bottom ball joint bolts and the driveshaft nut for a gti!

I have tried searching but am finding different specs

Does anyone know what they actually are?

The drive shaft bolt if hexagon is 200 NM plus a 180 degree further turn if its the 12 point bolt its 70 NM plus a 90 degree further turn.
Loads of extra's and retro fits.

Oh and one other thing when loosening or tightening the drive shaft bolt the wheel must not be loaded on the ground, it must be off the floor, you must get someone to apply the breaks while you do this, as you will damage the wheel bearing, not my words lifted from elsawin at VW
