Removing rear bumper gaurd / protector??

Searching for a replacement car currently and came across a carbon grey 5dr GTi at VW Southend for £17495 with a aftermarket bumper protector fitted to the flat part at the top of the bumper where you open the boot.

Obviosuly its re-assuring that someone has taken care of the car but I don't want it if its not going to come off without marking the car!

Anyone removed one before?

Doesn't seem to like the link at the minute on my computer so can't post it.

 If its the vinyl stick on item Im sure a lot of hot water or  a hairdrier should do the trick  If theres any glue left use some white spirit
