Got mine delivered at 10am this morning.  First impression is the brilliance of the build and the materials.  I'm still not sure on the screen, had a s2 for 3 months as a stop gap between my 4s and 5 and I don't think it is big enough, not such a nice browsing experience and I'm missing some android os features (cant believe I'm saying that)

Camera is superb though, the speed you can snap is insane and quality in low light is better than my lumix compact camera.  Panoramic mode is brilliant too.  Suppose what's spoiling it at the moment is the lack of iphone 5 modded apps, everything except facebook and twitter is running 3.5".

Gonna give it a few days but I may go back to the s2 and pop the 5 up for sale :sad1:

Had mine for a couple of hours now. White/silver 32gb. The build quality is immense in this model. The design is superb. Already played with ios6, so used to all those features, but the speed this thing runs at is insane. The camera is stunning. Full screen video in 16:9 makes the display seem all the more huge. Very impressed. The weight is amazing, it feels really light compared to the 4S.

Called on the off chance of getting through to someone today and did in about 5mins .. damn it!  Anyway, ordered 2x 32GB's and while was on the phone they got more 16GB's allocated from Apple so had 2 of these also.  Not sure when they will arrive but not fussed.  Orange said they had 50,000 out for delivery over the next few days.

My mate told me last night to not get one yet and that he's gonna take his back. His words being, not enough of a improvement over the 4s :o

This is what i've told people as well.

I had a 4 and my girlfriend has a 3gs so for us its a good upgrade and it seems SO fast.

My friend though has a 9 month old 4s and having played with them its not really worth the extra outlay at the moment.

Plus being an early adopter is going to be a bit of a pain i think with the charge point being different. I'm always going to have to have my cable on me rather than being able to top it up at friends houses now with their old 'wide boy' connectors.

Apple maps is officially CRAP as well although thats ios not the phone but its the biggest mistake the company has made recently i feel.

After putting iOS6 on my 4S I tend to agree, I don't see much point to the 5.

Bet the 5 phone side will be as bad - got 1 and 2 bars at home, I call my mobile from the land line 8times and everytime it goes through to the answerphone - moved it to another window to get 3 bars and then it rings ... pathetic, why have a signal if you cant take a call.

That's down to your operator. My phone signals have been fine on the iPhone 4/4S and 5.

I'm sick of getting dropped calls on my 4. Not sure of its O2 or the phone.

Partly yes but also the fact the iPhone needs a decent signal to actually talk - its fine elsewhere but where its rubbish (home) other orange phones work fine.
