Where to get OEM locking wheel nuts for ED30?
« on: September 12, 2012, 10:46:27 am »
Hi

Apologies for the noob question....

Picked up a 2007/57 ED30 at the weekend, but it doesn't have locking nuts on the standard alloys (18" Pescara BB's?).  I've searched the forums, and it seems OEM ones are as well recommended as the McGuard ones...  Where would I buy OEM ones  from?  ebay? - is there any size or spec I need to search for to be the right ones?  (length, thread size etc)

Rang the local VW dealer, and they're £51 (for the pack of 4).

Any comments much appreciated!

Well if the oem ones are that expensive then, personally, I would get the McGuards ultra ones that should be cheaper.

Only thing i would state with the McGuard ones is that they can be a little soft, ie the key nut, can loose its shape, so be careful removing or overtightening your nuts  :rolleye:
