ED30 Bluefin Fuel Use
« on: September 14, 2012, 05:08:38 pm »
Right the local Shell Garage has shut ! Cannot get shell Super anywhere near me , Is the Tesco momentum similar . Never used any other fuel apart from shell for 20 years as the garage was only 700m from our house !

Also what drop in performance would there be if i used ordinary standard petrol ?

Momemtum is the same more or less then shells V power.

I personally wouldn't run 95 in the tank with your bluefin. it should be ok but you will feel a drop in performance.

the ECU will adapt to the lower octane rating, but you will feel it not as responsive under full throttle and your MPG will be down by 2-3 mpg

I have spent much time switching between the two fuels (a couple of months each at a time). I do find I get better mpg with the tesco 99. Performance is exactly the same.... +the 99 is cheaper.  :happy2:
