Eddie is in getting new wings
« on: September 18, 2012, 11:18:05 pm »
Due to the rust issues, VW are replacing my front wings. The job would have taken 5 days, but on the 5th day the manager phoned to say he wasn't happy with the work, so they want the car for longer.

It's a warranty job so I'm not too bothered but still, I hate not having my car. How long does it usually take?

Took it to the VW dealership's own bodyshop. The match is good, however there is orange peel, but i'll sort that myself

Just got a call from Inch VW in Bathgate to say I can book my car in for the 15th October. They'll need the car for 3-4 days. Pretty good going as they approved the car for new wings within an hour of me turning up, and they are pushing for VW to go from 70% to 100% on my bootlid. All on my behalf without me having to persuade them. I only took the car to them Friday at lunchtime and yesterday was a local Monday holiday. Kudos to them.  :happy2:

My drivers side rear arch appeers to be getting attacked by mother nature. Anyone heard about repairs being completed on goodwill on this part of the car?  :fighting2:
