« on: September 21, 2012, 08:27:05 am »

As above.  Any one in notts have or had an R32 with a stage 1?

I know the gains won't be like what we see on forced induction applications but was just after some opinions and maybe a shotgun

I never felt it necessary Mike. All they seem to do is cock up the throttle sensitivity.

To make it feel faster? Just a throttle map?

I've had an itch for a Tfsi MkII golf or Ibiza Cupra R recently  :scared:

I thought it was probably for a fwend.

Point him/her towards R32OC forum perhaps? Likely to be more R32 related info there. Mk4? Mk5? .:R

Aftermarket exhaust to better enjoy that glorious V6, Haldex Controller with Race setting, seem to be the most enjoyable mods on the .:R. Otherwise it's spending megabucks on turbo's or superchargers.

Evoms intake, exhaust and if you are feeling rich go for cats and headers to go with the exhaust. You will probably also need a map to stop warning lights if you go that route.

I never felt the need for a Haldex controller on mine either and would probably only recommend it if you're going on track.

....Oooh, I don't agree. I have driven a Mk5 .:R with Haldex switch in 'Race' mode and loved it on the road - It transforms its handling I found. Tested all the Haldex settings on the same piece of road and, if I owned a R32 it would be in Fun Race mode all the time.

EVOMS intake on these are awesome, really free up top end... Maps give 10bhp, but just make it more responsive, and breath a little better up top, doesn't give much... money spent better on H&R ARB's...  :drinking:
