flat battery
« on: September 29, 2012, 07:14:17 am »
Right went out for a meal yesterday and the carpark was packed so i parked my car on the edge of the road and left the indicator on so that when you leave it just side of the sidelights come on.

Came back to the cad 2-3 hours later and the battery had gone dead :(

Now my question is, should the battery gondead this quick and is there a particular way to jump start it with leads from another car or just connect them up and away you go.

Cheers

If jump starting, you connect the positives first then the negatives...
Without traction power is nothing!

O yeh i knew that bit cheers, but its not going to do any harm jump starting it?

Only reason i ask is because the last car i had if you disconected the battery or jump start it or anything like that you were ment to go through some procedure first. Otherwise you could f*ck up the cars bsi, and i really dont want to be doing anything like that to this car :)

Do you have the manual should be in there. I think you can just jump em.  Disclaimer If you try it and the car explodes I take no responsiblity :-)
