What did you go for, Nitro or Battery?

I love em! I have 2, one Thunder Tiger EB4 S2 Pro dual start, fully moded with a .28 engine running on 30% nitro fuel. It has a uprated LSD, full spring and damper race set up, sway bars, hi speed/torque Hi Tec servo's and Nova Rossi exhaust and manifold. Tis a quick one but a wee bit temperamental when starting.

The other one is in bits...  :sad1: ran it into a tree at about 40mph and not got round to fixing it, too many hobbies  :signLOL:

After reading your OP, I have been scoping the interweb for the Avante and have just come across the Black Edition. Not sure what's different from the Avante. Looks like a really well made kit, hell of a lot more useable than mine and more friendly in the local park i bet.Did you get it through eBay, seen some on there at that price.

Love the truggy, my brother in law has that model, big engine and bigger tyres!  :happy2:

Nice one Dan, you'll really enjoy building it.

I used to race nitro RC cars, until about a year and a half ago. Just ran out of time. We even had Lewis Hamilton come spend a race day at my local club with his brother Nicholas who races for Kyosho. Seems he hasn't lost his touch from when he did it as a kid.

Electric has been making a huge comeback now over the past few years with Lipo packs and brushless technology. The torque on those is amazing, but it all seems a bit dull and soulless with no smoke and noise, lol. Not sure how the Avante would hold up to a high power lipo/brushless setup though. I still have an original Tamiya Technigold motor which in the day was the Daddy.

I had one of those too. Epic wheelie bar at the back. Only problem back then was the 10minute battery life! :-/
