Bushes etc
« on: October 16, 2012, 09:25:13 pm »
Hat MOT last week - said I will need front bushes etc replacing.

Realistically - do these heavy duty bushes etc. make much of a difference to the drive? or just for hard driving track etc?

Should I just fit std OEM ones?

I think if I was going to replace any I would go down the Superpro route. Not sure on the cost comparisons but I was quoted £240 to replace the 2 rear drop links which cost about £80 each then 2 bolts on each to remove. I thought that was extortionate and got two second opinions and both said there was nothing wrong with them. I would use that sort of money to get a full rear kit.

S3 console bushes might be a good choice.

Most of the driving I do is my daily commute too and from work. I have the Superpro ALK, H&R's and rear ARB. Ride quality is almost stock and handling great. Can really chuck it about if you want but normal driving isn't compromised.
