My missus drives it all the time (stage1 eddy) approx 25 miles a day by the time she ferries our daughter about and gets to work and back. I only really get to drive it on a weekend as work long hours during the week. had it well over a year now so doesnt bother me. she did slightly kerb a wheel but paid for a full refurb so cant argue with that  :happy2:

Great thread only thing mrs w lacks is some special awareness when it comes to kerbs in multi storey car parks, other than that she drives the door handles off her Pirelli, she now drives the ed35 but I did not cover her for business use given the special awareness issue to avoid arguments  :evilgrin:

I brought Mrs mot her own golf to avoid temptation.  :wink: She is also scared of scratching mine so refuses to drive it.  :evilgrin:

i let my missus drive mine. iv had it 10 months now. 2 kerbed wheels and she hit a car up the arse last week. twintercooler, rad, fan, air condenser, intercooler, bumper, grills and front carrier all need replacing.
 im taking her down halfords to get a pushbike now, lol. only joking. accidents happen.

I've noticed after driving to work for the past 3 weeks that ONLY women drive GTI's and R32's! Seriously the number must be well over 30 now!

It's not my wife I worry about (who doesn't drive and has no inclination to), its one of my daughters who is learning to drive and wants the keys in her sticky mitts when (or if) she passes!  :scared:

I wouldn't let my ex-missus drive my car. She had her own and her driving is erratic and she lacks confidence (refuses to drive on motorways for example). Every one of her cars (old Ford Focus) since we divorced has bodywork damage. I worry on the odd occasion when our daughter is passenger in her car.

My daughter has passed her test 3 years ago but currently has no need for a car and so has not enough experience to drive a GTI. She is an excellent calm passenger at all speeds and conditions but expresses no desire to drive mine.

TBH she drives it more than I do as I walk to work, she absolutely loves it as much as I do so know she'd never be careless in it and when it did get scraped it was parked up at the police station!
Saying that I only allow her to drive it Mondays and Fridays which isnt nursery drop off day, its carnage outseide that place on a morning. I'm trying to keep the miles down also now that its hit 80k.
