Thank you all so much for your kind words. I was very touched to read them.

I've only been on the Forum for about a year, but I have met some wonderful people, and look forward to meeting a lot more of you soon, especially at next year's mega-meet. The sense of community on this site is really special, and a big reason why I bought another Mk5 GTi (apart from the fact they're brilliant!).

I was so gutted not to be able to make JKM yesterday, I'd been looking forward to it for  months! However, I would never consider driving such a distance when feeling as groggy as I was yesterday, for the safety of other road-users as much as my own. I hope to be back at work by December or January, and I'm going for short drives in the GTi when I'm feeling ok.

Finally a big thank you  to Robin for taking the time to ring me today and find out how I am, and letting people on here know why I've not been as active as normal!

Thank you all again,

Ian  :happy2:

Thanks Top Cat.  :happy2: Actually the extra headroom I have from having a sunroof is coming in very handy at the moment, what with my ridiculous John McEnroe Bandage!
