does anyone know the best (cheapest) place to get the VW MK5 speaker upgrade kits from

yes replace the headunit with RCD510 for OEM or go aftermarket. then worry about speakers

I can get you entry level Hertz speakers for less than or about he same as the upgrade kit and they will sound a lot better.
