No congratulations needed.  I was in the works van and hit this. Luckily everyone was/is ok. Van lost its plate and has a couple of very small scratches.
  This was a 5mph shunt and I cant believe the damage caused to the car. B pillar is very bent.

Police arrived on the scene and after one or two questions informed me that I didnt have a licence. ( I was told to stop laughing at this point) or Id be arrested :surprised:

Why were you laughing at the police making a mistake. We're they laughing at you making a mistake.  You appear to have a strange attitude to this incident, as if you don't give a damn. I am sure you don't mean to but your attitude to this incident seems very crappy.  :fighting2:

 I dont think the police made a mistake did they?  I was the one who had the accident (mistake)
  Laughter was due to being told quite firmly that I didnt have a licence.
