2005 manual

The easiest thing for you will be to remove to lower half of the drivers side dash board.
Directly above the ash tray, is a little pop out piece of trim. Once removed it will reveal a T20 screw, that will need to be removed to get the left half lower dash trim piece off. I know I had a 2005 Manual (First Gateway I replaced).

You will also have to remove the air duct for drivers feet. One screw behind the Pocket in the dash below the Headlight switch.

Failing pulling the whole dash apart.

You can get you hand up there and disconnect the Can gateway. Plug the new one in, then wedge it near the top right. You will understand what I mean when you look up from the clutch pedal.
