Steaming up - best climate control settings

Always helps to leave your vents open at all times, with the side vents pointed at the windows   that helps to keep the car ventilated and the windows clear. A blast with the A/C clears then quickly too 

Makes me laugh when you see cars on the motorway COMPLETELY steamed up   some clowns shut all the vents and wonder why the car is steaming up

Dont leave anything wet in your car like an ice scrapper. Run the car for a few minutes before you leave. Adjust as necessary. Enjoy

I use the aircon system as little as possible but have ClimAir wind deflectors. By dropping the windows just a wee bit (not below the bottom edges of the ClimAir's) it creates natural ventilation and clears steaminess.

I read somewhere that it's best practise to use your air con for 10mins a week to keep the system in good order, this stops your seals breaking down and leaking

Seems to be a common problem with the mk5's?.Couple of mates have the Scirocco's & they have the same thing.

When i get into my car these evening after work, the windscreen inside is always steamed up pretty bad, i remember my last Golf was the same, but not with my other cars, noting wet in the car or anything,

Is there anyway to prevent this?

Yes   ........   AS I POSTED EARLIER, THE CURE IS TO REPLACE YOUR MICROFILTER/POLLEN FILTER AND CLEAN THE INSIDE OF YOUR GLASS WITH A GLASS CLEANER !!

No i didn't struggle to read your post, as i have recently replaced the pollen filter and the inside of the glass is clean, i was maybe hoping for another suggestion, Anyway thanks for your help...

Seems my car stopped doing it now :) I reckon it may have been as settings were on wrong :)

..........i bet it starts once it gets colder again. Mine & the guys at work find this no matter what you set it at.
