Not sure like but at 253 pounds that's deer so getting a discount to 73 is decent so not sure how gd they are but at 253 they should be ok better than what I have already haha

How do these "premium budget" kits compare to the standard GTI coils and dampers? Obviously they are lower, but is it worth it if the ride and handling is compromised?

X2

Has anyone got any experience of this kit?
How do they ride? Or are they just terrible..?

My mate had FK's on his mk4. They fell apart after a few months  :sad1:

I'm not sure £253 could be considered dear for a coilover kit! I'd say suspiciously cheap actually!

Ah, understood!

Does anyone know how long standard dampers normally last?

Going off the gti's strut diameter of 55mm,

looking on venom's site: http://www.venommotorsport.com/product_details.php?id=13017&manufacturer=FK&category=Suspension

the part number is: FK99AI081

so search for that with fk and you get:

http://www.carparts-tuning.co.uk/en/Suspension-Tuning/Sport-Suspension/Sports-suspension-High-Tec-35-40-mm-fit-for-Audi-A3-Typ-8P-VW-Golf-5-1K-oxid.html?listtype=search&searchparam=FK99AI081

The FK High Tech kits are FK’s premium budget sport suspension kit....so don't hold your breath lol

The ones you have linked to on FK's site have a part no FK99AI181
Same as these http://www.venommotorsport.com/product_details.php?id=13018&manufacturer=FK&category=Suspension
Which are for a 50mm strut as that's what we orderd for chris's car

They also have spacers and other parts heavily reduced

And to be honest you can't really grumble at a full suspension kit for £80 deliverd
Just do your homework and make sure they are suitable for you

For £80 its even worth buying if you have an expensive kit fitted to your car and keep them to fit for when you sell your car

I have  a bilsten b12 kit on my car but if I was on a budget I would seriously consider these or even the silver lines

So how are we meant to find out what size the kits are? Ive searched all over the website for more details but cant see any way to check, if i need 55m kit then the A3 kit wont fit will it?
How hard would it have been to put the strut size on there  :stupid:
