RNS 510 SSD Installation Issue
« on: November 27, 2012, 01:07:06 pm »
Hi there...

Eddie-NL or any other knowledgable folk on here aware of any solution to my issue...

I have attempted to install a 64GB SSD in my unit and for some reason the SSD is not recognised by the RNS510.

I have tried verifying its health on my Mac via disk utility and it reports all is well...even tried formatting it under MS DOS (FAT) table and thats not worked.

I re-installed my original HDD and did a fw 3810a update along with V9 maps and this worked a charm, however no dice on the SSD...

Grateful for any input

Thank you :happy2:

Did you remove the jumper on the HDD. You have to remove the jumper or it won't recognise the drive.

Yes...the jumper was ditched as soon as the drive arrived.
