« on: December 04, 2012, 05:04:18 pm »
Hi Folks, yes i have used the Search function but for the life of me, i can't find anything that details what's involved in changing the front and rear number plates!? Anyone have any links by any chance?  :driver:

Many thanks

Andrew

I think more detail is needed. Are we talking about stuck on plates? Because 90% of cars are just two screws under covers which just pop up

Thank u 4 the constructive comments folks! Mine r stock and screwed in so to speak! Am being given a personal plate 4 my impending 40th, lol, so assuming they r just plates, so is it best to just stick new ones on, after removing current ones of course, r have them drilled and screwed in, ie proper dealer job??
Cheers!

Use the old plates as a template drill throught the old ones and through your new ones , go from the front to the back (The white or coloured bit drilled first ) Use a drill bit for wood and use an electric drill , put the drill bit in the electric drill and press the button putting the drill bit where you want to drill the hole and press firmly .

PS . Make sure the plates are not on your lap.

this is literally one of the easiest mods you will ever be able to do. dont take it to halfrauds - like GarrardRJ says and just put the old ones on top of the new ones (a little masking tape holding them together helps so they dont move), and drill through.

Seriously i cannot believe there is so many posts on this
