It'll never be described as pretty, that's for sure.

I think the MKVII will be very interesting, a step forward too. It's too early to call a next car for x-years time, but for right here right now - tell me better for £30k?

2nd hand M3 for my money personally

don't really see the point in AWD BMWs. you buy them because they're the most dynamically capable. i fear that AWD would detract from that. if i wanted a cruiser i'd get a VAG purely because i prefer the interiors etc. if i wanted a fun car, it would be a RWD BMW (but not the M135i as the 1-Series is hideous imho and i don't see the point when you could get a Z4 for similar beans which is probably no less practical considering the comical interior space of the 1-Series)

I havent found any of the BMWs nice to look out when they are first released, but they really grow on you over time i think

But we're talking about brand new cars.

There's a lot more room in the new 1-series, looks obviously are subjective, but it at least is capable of carrying adults in the back this time.

4WD beemers? I agree, I wouldn't buy one, but I can see why they've decided to finally bring them over here. Looks like it drives ok though.

I love RWD in the summer but hate it in the winter

When I had a 330ci I had to get a lift into work a few times during the winter as the car would get stuck

I had an e36 m3 a good few years ago and it was the best driving car I have ever owned

I think I'm one of the only people in the world who thinks the 4 series is ugly, fair enough the side profile is a lot neater than the old 3 series coupe, always looked a bit odd at the rear 3rd.

But front facing and the rear look like a curvey Korean explosion, like they don't know where to start curving, bending, linking. All just a bit messy, and those side grilles look so add on. i loved the bangle styling with all the concave and convex sheetmetal, and the constrasting light that was formed.

Probably get told I'm a retard now!   :sad1:
