Hi guys,

Been really trying to improve my photography game recently! Heres a pic i took recently of a frosty morning near my house...

I quite like the pic, although the JPG compression that i have to use on the forum has sapped the life out of it!

Ive also been playing around with off camera flashes, a whole new minefield to me! Ive had my first play around tonight!

My cat was all too happy to pose for me too!

Some more recent pics.. obviously mostly car related!

So theres a lot of pics i thought most would like to have a gander at!

Let me know your thoughts guys!

The first pic is great... the forground looks a tad over processed, but I like it very much!  :happy2:

Lovin the reflections on the porsche and AM.

The GTI isn't just a machine. It's very much a living, breathing thing.

....The life may have been sapped out of it but we haven't seen the original to compare it with and what I'm looking at has extra appeal because it's looking rather 'painterly' and like a fine illustration.

Why didn't you submit some of your VAG car pics for the forum 2013 calendar? I love the moody atmosphere of many of them and they look pristine quality for printing. 2014 beckons..........

thanks for the comments guys!

Im really sorry about the calendar, I should have really but a few reasons. If I had done some significant work on a MK5 gti, I would have. Also, ive been absolutely snowed under for the last 18 months and im really struggling to stay on top of things! haha!

....Understood  :happy2:

Unfortunately, in spite of my first post in the thread saying otherwise, lots of folks assumed that the 2013 calendar was only for GTI owners but it was for VAG cars owned by forum members. Although the forum started off primarily with GTI Mk5 owners it has evolved to be much broader. If I'm invited to design it again next year I shall have to make that particularly clear.

Calendar photos should be of owners cars though robin.... not just ones which pass through their hands.  :happy2:

....I totally agree and you'll see, if you buy a 2013 calendar, that this is exactly the case. Jay aka JPC does detail some member's VAG cars and also usually takes high quality photographs (as indeed you do as well), so I'm just encouraging him.

That first pic is lovely (the cars look great too).

What gear did you use to shoot the landscape? Sorry if I've missed that answer elsewhere.
