mfsw dsg or not??

can a dsg wheel be fitted without any problems to a non dsg car??
in terms of coding??
finding it very hard to get a flat bottom gti wheel without dsg so now just looking to buy any type of wheel i can get

hello there
I have seen a few on-line both mk5 & mk6 non dsg, im sure you will find one if you have a proper look.
I guess there is part suppliers on this site somewhere but fitting a dsg wheel to a non dsg car seems strange.
would like a mfsw myself so will be good to see if anyone helps you

A dsg wheel with paddle can be fitted to a manual car.

Obviously the paddles won't work

AFAIK they can be unscrewed from the wheel.....
one just sold bout half hour ago on ebay with buttons and paddles removed so was a bare wheel..no airbag either

why would someone but a limited edition car and go cheap on a standard wheel??....lol
i have leather and sunroof,climatronic,front fogs but no highline clocks or msfw...

^^^^ don't get me started on my car either. Mine must have been originally been bought by a right tight arse, I've spent ££££ adding what should have been standard.   :laugh:

I could be wrong but I believe the Highline was a very cheap option at the time (read somewhere £50) so can't believe some cars don't have it.

They question should be why didn't VW make it standard than?

yes I did see somewhere they where about £50 as you say from factory, I think its got more to do with the buyer of the car not really knowing about it and the benefits  :pomppomp:
