For vmax its between the R8 v10TT, the 997 turbo, 996 turbo and the brabus if its dry. If its wet the two stage 3 TTRS will be up there also, as will be 200mph capable.
for 30-130 times, too close to call. But id say between the force induction r8's, porkas, stage 3 ttrs and the evo's.
Im not including the trailer queen jap cars in this guess.

The R8 V10TT should get a good top speed, but may be limited by it's RPM limit. I know Steve Jr is doing a lot to his 997 Turbo and it should be over 900whp and with a raised limiter should easily be over 200mph. Last year it was 193mph in the soaking wet with 650bhp.

Dunno about the 30-130 but out of the VAG stable the R8 V10TT and Steve Jr's car should have a good tussle. It will be all about grip as well as power.

Engines built John but still on Loba's for now, we can rev to 8k but only got air flow to 7k with these tiny vnt's so no 900whp yet, that'll be Mid year before Inters
I'm really interested to see how Tims RS engines perform he certainly knows his stuff, I wish I had some of the equipment he has (and knowledge to use it) we just have to go trial and error but seem to do ok anyway
I'd guess well be around late 8's early 9's 30-130 & 200ish by 1.2 miles problem is as everyone knows the grip is what it's down to
If we can get cracking back on with the Golf RS again that should be dam quick 30-130 with the specs we've got planned

I think you should..  Someone should take that time quite easily considering it was done on a stock car with basic S2+ mods and with the gash OEM cooler too..

No WMI though - that would be cheating..

But wouldn't it be better to try and match a stage 3 Golf R using a stage 2+ R with WMI?

Not a chance imo.  Even if you gained 50hp from the meth your still way down on power with the KO4.  Loba all the way, all the threads and trash talking about these two turbos could be ended in a single day.  That is until the excuse thread is started lol

I'm with Sy on this one John - There is no way you will be competing with APR's Golf with the stock K04. That is a 118mph car on the strip (IIRC) which is someway of what you were running even before your added bits..

Either get the Loba done - which i assume won't be easy given how much time there is left. Or go Stage 2+ and compare with the other boys (including myself). APR's Golf is at another level now since going BT IMO.

Regards the trash talk (Loba vs APR) - I doubt that will ever get sorted to be honest (bit like the the APR vs Revo) as who knows what fuel/set up, secret mods one might add to save face..

This is why I cannot hold much stall by it.

I'll be running a stock map on 95 ron if APR are looking in!  :innocent:

This looks like a good spot for an update on my Golf R.  :happy2:

Took the gear box off yesterday and found a trashed flywheel to go along with my slipping clutches.  The dual mass portion of the flywheel has pretty much disintegrated.  Got the box off, the mechatronics unit out and will ship it off for some prototype DSG software to match the prototype uprated DSG clutches that are going in.

Once that is back together sometime next week, I'll put it on the dyno to see what these new fueling mods netted.

The scenario prior to these new fueling mods and before the transmission got so bad it wouldn't really do much at WOT, was an 11.6 at my last trip to Santa Pod and a 100-200kmh time of 9.1.

After the new fueling mods and with a very unhappy DSG I was able to achieve a 100-200kmh time of 8.6.

So, I think I've got around another 50bhp and with the DSG finally modded I'll have 300 more rpm's of powerband.

So yeah, bring it, lads!
