It's my Birthday and I'm on my mini honeymoon in Bath so were going to a Greek restaurant for food, drinks, plate smashing and live music!

Hoping its a great night, champagne just been popped, Happy New Year all!  :drinking:

Congrats and have fun. Lived in Bath for a while and always enjoyed going out there.

Two young kids that love waking early in the morning and the grandparents are out of the country so cannot fire them off to them. Therefore family night in and sensible bed time. Not before I finish this bottle of champagne though  :drinking:

Have a good one everybody and stay safe

Im debating whether to go to the local pub for an hour or 2 and see whos in or just stop in for the night

I used to love New Years (im 23) but this year it just doesn't feel the same. I think i've sickened myself in the build up to it, had a very busy social christmas

Matt

Against what i said an hour ago, the pub it is!

Happy New Year Everyone :drinking:

I just treat it like any other night to be honest. This year I'll be driving back from my parents house in Northumberland to the North West. I won't be making any special effort to stay up past 12.00am.

It's nice to hear I'm not the only grumpy old bugger at NYE!

For me it's a symptom of having young children. I love them dearly, but they sap the life out of you. They're up at 6.30am every morning and NYE isn't going to change that.

I'm ready to go back to work. A holiday with children isn't really a holiday - I feel more harassed than ever.

I can sympathise with that! Our wee one has us up at 5.45!!

My mother (who is a doctor) suggested giving them champagne. I thought about it for a while them decided that it might just make them all lairy and pissed, which wouldn't be enjoyable at all. And besides, one is 10 months and the other (the real crux of the problem) is nearly 4 years old.

It's get a lot easier when they move out!  :jumpmove: and you can get a 3 dr (just because you can) for the first time in 20 years!

Cheers Nathan. I'm clinging on to the hope that when the boy goes to school in September things will change. At the moment he has way too much energy. He's running circles round me.
