Battery health light ?
« on: January 02, 2013, 05:24:41 pm »
Does anyone know what colour the little health light should be on a gti battery?
There's a sticker on the battery saying to check the owners manual, but  it dosn't mention anything !
Anyhow, the reason I'm asking is, I've had to charge my battery because it wouldn't start.
The light was black before charging and it remains black after charging .
Any ideas anyone.

I think if your battery is older than 3 years the colour of the eye changes to black regardless of its state of charge. On my 5 year old battery it was black but the battery was fine.
Without traction power is nothing!

That sounds like good news( if you know what I mean) my car seems to start fine at the minute.
Let's see what happens if the frost and ice return.
