Opinions?

Can it be a substitute for a Golf R and save £10K?

No back seats is a big downer for me and a bit hairdressy for my liking too.

I have a DSG one at the moment as a courtesy car while my bumpers being replaced.  It's the first time I've driven a TT never mind the TTS.  I'm quite impressed by its interior, but what I find astounding is the handling.  This one comes with the sport mode suspension button, not sure if its magnetic ride, but either way the handling is phenomenal!!  It's only got 3K on the clock, so the engine feels really tight, but deffo needs a remap.
Personally I think the rear seats are a waste of time, and the boot is massive, makes no sense, they should have given less boot space and made the rear seats bigger.
The TTS isn't for me, as I need rear seats   :sad1:

As a tool, yes. Lighter, lower centre of gravity, better aero... Dare I say better weight distribution too?

You just have to accept its a 2 seater, so if that works, why not?
Sideways yo!

Had one as a courtesy car and bloody loved it. AWD and 270bhp what's not to like.

Downsides are if your 6ft or over no-one and I mean no-one will be able to sit in the back as the front seat will be touching the rear. Tiny boot space - was barely able to fit a weekend away bag in the boot for me and mrs aps.

Nothing hairdressy about the TTS at all IMO. To the trained eye but they look so much better than the regular TT.

TTS is the pick of the bunch. The best handling out of the box too. If you can live with the two seats then save the 10k for mods.

As for boot space I just removed my parcel shelf, gives you loads of room then if you need it. I've got the privacy glass so you can't see into the boot anyway.

The biggest downside to the TTS is the lack of toys though compared to the GolfR, the oem sat nav unit is crap and no dual zones either.

I've had 4 adults in the car but can only get away with it for short journeys. Officially no over under 4"8 should be in the back.

Baby seats do fit

The parcel shelf in my courtesy one must be removed cause the boot is massive!

The sat nav in the one they gave me is the worst I've seen, luminous red screen about half the size of my RNS-E  :stupid:

Yes the red screen satnav is sh*te! I did love the seats, so comfy and supportive, needle sweep on start and white DIS. The laptime function on the computer is ok too, if a bit fiddly to use.
