Correct DV For My Car -Jan 06 K03 GTi 2.0 TFSI
« on: January 04, 2013, 10:53:34 am »

For my car, a Jan 06 55 plate 2.0TFSI VW Golf GTi

Original DV         06F 145 710 B

I have just rang Colbournes Guildford, spoke to Sean in parts, who confirmed that for my car, according to Volkswagen UK's national parts database the correct replacement for the above DV is:

Revision D         06H 145 710 D

Furthermore,

Revision G        06F 145 710 G

Does NOT come up as the replacement to use for my original diverter valve.

If in doubt, use the above part numbers to check the correct DV for your car specifically.

That's strange as I also have a 55 plate gti and when my original C Diverter valve failed I phoned up TPS and it was a revision G they sent me out as that's what my original part number superseded to.

Ring your VW dealer as well to confirm, but I would imagine they're on the same database? Also, the part numbers seem to end in the Revision letter, mine is a B, and you have a C?

Yeah TPS and VW have same database. My original was a revision C maybe that's why it's different?

Maybe they lied and just wanted to sell you the more expensive rev D  :signLOL:

Must be different for skoda though as replacement for my rev c was rev G. This was 3 weeks ago.

My octavia vrs engine code is BWA

I think this highlights the importance of checking your individual car specifically.

I reckon it's nothing to do with individual cars in this instance. I reckon it's a case of what's in Stock at the time.

Could be right the maybe be rev G for BWA engines
And rev D for AXX engines?

Well I saw with my own eyes this morning, the exploded picture of a k03 turbo on ekta, with the revision g d/v listed for the bwa and axx and I think it was apy?

He then had the diagram of my engine up, byd, and that listed a g revision aswell.

The AXX and BWA both share the same turbo so it shouldnt be that. Just rang my mate at TPS and they still list the G as being the correcr DV on their database. The D is still listed as being for an Audi. The plot thickens but either way I will still fit the G if and when mine fails as my car runs much better now than when I had the D fitted.

Mine is an AXX.

And I have just told you exactly what happened when I rang my VW dealership. No mention of Type G. JKM also fit the D OEM piston type at Stage 1 for the 2.0TFSI engine.

It could just be what the local dealer decided to stock on their system due to the older diaphragm dvs failing.

Nick at R-Tech who has alot of respect on here tested the 'D' and 'G' versions and 'G' came out as the better option. I am running 'G' version on my 2005 without any issues :happy2:

No, he confirmed this was the VW UK National database that brings up type D as the correct replacement for the type B I had originally. It had nothing to do  with local dealers stock, as he didn't have stock he would have to order it in from VW.
