Anyone owned/have experience with Peugeot 306 GTI6
« on: January 04, 2013, 11:32:14 am »
Basically my brother owns one which is heavily modified. On throttle bodies and lots of internal work. From what I have found on the internet, these engines do breath a fair bit which showed up the other week on a trackday. The standard breather system feeds back into the inlet but as it is now on TB's it has nowhere to go. He currently has a pipe into an old bottle but this is not ideal and does fill up very quickly.

Would a catch can solve this and would it require regular emptying or can it be fed back into the engine somewhere?

Thanks in advance  :happy2:

Cheers Gaz. I was on there earlier looking at a few project threads to see if I could see what others had done. Contacted a couple of people on there via Facebook so will see what I get back.  :happy2:

Hi, my Saxo vts track car also breaths quite heavily from the rocker breather. I had to divert to an old drinks bottle on my last track day! I'll be fitting a oil catch/breather tank soon tho. I will also be trying to get it to self empty back into the sump somehow!
Danny.

This is what my brother is doing at the minute. Only problem is I'd say is its breathing around 300-400ml and the bottle isn't very big so is spewing it all under the bonnet. Not ideal.

I do think it needs a catch can but I'm not sure whether you can get it to return to the engine or not.

My 106 gti breathed heavy, i had a catch can cleaned most of the mess up, but yes it does need emptying.
