Upgrade my R32
« on: January 16, 2013, 03:33:02 pm »
Hello forum,

I own an R32 and I am thinking what to do to it so I change something. Firstly I need to find some wheels and I wanted to ask if reps will do any damage?
Plus is there any way to upgrade speakers and install an amp, and not damage the clips and hear any rattling because I had a MK4 and after the stereo installation 4 speakers and an amp I had to sell it.
The person who did the job well known as well broke almost any clips and the parts some of them were forced into place and most of them not even in place.

You don't need a stereo in an R32. Spend the money on an exhaust and listen to the engine when giving it the beans, thas what I did with mine when I had one.

What wheels have you got on? If you do get some new ones could be interested in yours.

Nice Car not that I am biased lol !

In my opinion I think VMR 710 and BBS CH-R really suit the Mk5 R32, also like the BBS LMs and RS-GT.

Upgrades I have done that really make a difference are Arbs front and back and coil overs.

lots of advice on r32oc.com

Nathans   wheels 100%   and what extras  does your 32 have ?   maybe get eddie to retro fit some nice bits like reversing camera   just little bits to make the 32  nicer.  bit leave the already nice car looking  smart just personalise it

You can most certainly upgrade the speakers and an amp without breaking anything and end up with no rattles. Come have a listen to mine. The only issue I have is a little resonance every now and again which will be sorted out in due course due to the added bass in the front doors. No rattles at all and I've had my car apart more times than some have had hot breakfasts......
