hi all i am looking at buying a set of FK AK STREET coilovers for my 55 plate gti anyone had any experience with these if so any good or not

there ok if u only want em to last a couple of months. Had some on my fabia vrs and they were done after 4 months

4 Months? what drop were you running? were they not replaced under any warranty procedures, I thought you would have got a 12 month warranty on them as standard?

Got me worried with this as I currently have a set in the garage awaiting fitting once I have all the other bits to go with it. I'm changing all the suspension parts, bearings, brakes, anti roll bars, SALK and new tyres in one go a little later this year so I only have to shell out on one trip to the 4wheel alignment specialists for setting up.
I got them in November last year for 170 euro's, direct from the factory as a special deal......... Not sure if i should bother fitting them now

oh great thought they would be ok, maybe i should keep clear of them then only want a entry level set of coilovers, dont want them for track use just for everyday use, any suggestions on anythin not too expensive but thats not cheap rubbish

I wouldn't put AK streets on a GTI. The AP is the best value for money kit for the GTI.

how much would i be looking at for an AP set and how low will this kit allow the gti to sit as i want very low as im running 18's

This is with about 5mm more to go on the rear and loads more on the front on the S3 and they can be bought for about 450quidish

This was mine on a.p's. it was wound fully down at the rear without the helpers in.

I'm going with GAZ... But I want adjustable dampening and can get 25% off...

i cant decide which route to take as the FK's are £192 delivered and also got new drop links too
